WHAT IS HUMAN VALUES DAY?

Every year, we mark 24 April as a day to celebrate and raise awareness about the values within each of us, values that are the very core of our human nature. These values are outlined below.

Every year, we mark 24 April as a day to celebrate and raise awareness about the values within each of us, values that are the very core of our human nature.

What's happening this year?

This year we are celebrating Human Values Day as an online event on Saturday 24 April 2021 from 10am.

World music performances

  • Vadé - Multi-award winning A Cappella and R&B quintet band 

  • Paprika - fiery Balkan band

  • Manna choir - soulful Gospel Arts

  • Kasiika  - inspirational singer

  • Arvind Kywalya - rising star

We will also hear from leading faith speakers who will remind us how human values are integral to their particular faith.

 

Guest speakers

  • Lady Sidra Naeem – Muslim Chaplain at Anglia Ruskin University and the Queen’s Representative for Essex

  • Ven Bogoda Seelawimala - Chief Sangha Nayaka of Great Britain and Head Monk of the London Buddhist Vihara

  • Dhruv Chhatralia BEM - author of 21 books and 325 public talks on Hinduism

Human Values Day is open to all – regardless of age, faith, culture, race, language or profession, for it promotes values which have no borders or barriers.

We hope that by bringing to attention the need to practice human values in our lives, each one of us can become a beacon of hope and change in our families, communities, and the world at large.
