Sri Sathya Sai
Founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the 1960s, the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSSIO) is a spiritual and humanitarian organisation which practises and promotes the harmony of religions and unity of faiths.
The SSSIO believes that the human values of Love, Truth, Peace, Right Conduct and Non-Violence connect us all, and that through these values we can experience the divinity that is inherent and latent within each of us.

The organisation’s headquarters is based in Prasanthi Nilayam (Abode of Supreme Peace), Puttaparthi, in India. But its reach is global – with nearly 2,000 Sri Sathya Sai Centres and Groups in over 160 countries. Its members undertake many service activities that directly benefit their immediate communities at home and across the globe.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba is highly revered as an embodiment of unconditional, divine love and a global spiritual teacher, whose life and message inspires millions of people around the world to lead more purposeful and value-integrated lives.
His timeless and universal teachings of love, unity and service to all living beings and the planet, along with the manner in which He led his own life, attract people who seek true peace and happiness.
Masses of people from across the globe, of all faiths have been drawn to Him, and ‘Swami’ or ‘Baba’ as He is affectionately known amongst his devotees, neither professes a new religion, nor has He ever intended to do so. Instead, he urges everyone to continue to follow the religion of their choice and/or upbringing.
“LET THE DIFFERENT FAITHS EXIST, LET THEM FLOURISH, AND LET THE GLORY OF GOD BE SUNG IN ALL THE LANGUAGES AND A VARIETY OF TUNES. THAT SHOULD BE THE IDEAL. RESPECT THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE FAITHS AND RECOGNISE THEM AS VALID AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT EXTINGUISH THE FLAME OF UNITY.”
SRI SATHYA SAI BABA
Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings are primarily based on the five human values. These values underpin all the service programmes He has undertaken and all the institutions He has established.
Sai Baba has also emphasised that we should imbibe these five human values in our own lives and strive to become exemplar human beings on a daily basis.
Based on His motto of “Love All, Serve All”, the numerous service programmes started by Sri Sathya Sai Baba – be it hospitals, schools and colleges, the provision of fresh drinking water to villages across India, housing projects, free disaster relief and other humanitarian programmes – not only stand testimony to His selfless love and compassion for the needy and less privileged, but have all been provided free of cost.
True to His declaration, “My Life is My Message”, He has inspired and continues to inspire millions of His devotees across the globe by His personal example to live the ideal that “Service to man is service to God.”
